Senior Spryker Architect

Your Responsibilities

• Design and further development of the overall technical architecture of the Mercanto online marketplace, based on the Spryker framework
• Analysis and evaluation of existing system landscapes and definition of optimal integration strategies
• Close collaboration with business and product teams in requirements analysis and technical specification
• Creation of architecture and design guidelines as well as best practices for development teams
• Responsibility for architecture, performance, and security in complex, distributed systems
• Support in scaling, expanding, and modularizing existing Spryker projects
• Mentoring and coaching developers regarding Spryker standards, architectural principles, and clean code

Your Profile

• At least 10 years of professional experience in software development, including at least 5 years in the e-commerce environment and at least 2 years in the Spryker environment
• Proven technical overall responsibility in a large e-commerce project
• Solid knowledge of PHP 8+, Symfony, Composer, as well as Spryker Commerce OS (frontend & backend modules)
• Experience in designing complex and scalable microservice or modular e-commerce architectures
• Confident handling of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Experience with API design, event-driven architecture, and asynchronous communication (e.g., RabbitMQ, SQS)
• Understanding of domain-driven design (DDD), clean architecture, and SOLID principles
• Very good German and English skills
