Job Description
The ideal apprenticeship for young adults with enthusiasm for natural sciences and chemical-physical processes!
You will work in different areas of research and development:
- Planning and conducting experiments to produce new chemical compounds or answer analytical questions
- Producing, purifying, and checking the chemical purity of active ingredients and products
- Assisting in the research and development of active ingredients and chemical substances
- Using glass apparatus and laboratory technology as well as computer-assisted measurement methods
The training lasts 3 years, including 6 months of basic training in our teaching laboratory on the ETH Hönggerberg campus. During the apprenticeship, you will change the place of deployment according to the rotation principle and thus get to know ETH from different perspectives.
Profile
You like experimenting and are interested in chemistry, physics, and mathematics as well as working with electronic devices and complex apparatus. In addition, you have good observation skills, fine motor skills, are reliable, and have a careful, structured, and precise working style. With your ability to think in a networked way, you approach experiments with sufficient perseverance and patience.
You need a compulsory school leaving certificate for this vocational training and good performance in the following school subjects:
- Mathematics
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Physics
- English
