Why we are recruiting
To accelerate our digital engagement and drive growth, the Digital Business and Growth team is seeking an experienced and data-driven Digital Marketing Specialist. This role will be instrumental in developing and executing an email marketing strategy focused on engagement, conversion, and lifecycle marketing, leveraging Salesforce Marketing Cloud as the primary platform. The ideal candidate will be passionate about developing personalized communications, automations, and continuous optimization to support the Forum’s mission and digital objectives.
The Digital Business and Growth team is responsible for expanding the Forum’s digital reach, deepening engagement with our global audiences, and driving measurable growth through innovative digital strategies and platforms.
About the team
The Digital Business and Growth team is responsible for developing and executing strategies that grow and strengthen the Forum’s digital community. The team works closely with partners and individuals across industries and regions to ensure that our digital tools and offerings deliver value, foster engagement, and support the Forum’s mission.
Reporting lines
This position will report to the Manager, Digital Engagement and Programming.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive email marketing strategy to drive user engagement, conversion, and retention, using Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC).
- Design, build, and optimize automated email journeys and lifecycle campaigns, including onboarding, re-engagement, and personalized communications for different audience segments.
- Create compelling, relevant, and strategic content for newsletters and targeted email campaigns, tailored to various lifecycle stages and personas.
- Analyze campaign performance data, segment audiences, and use insights to refine outreach, improve conversion rates, and optimize overall campaign effectiveness.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, analytics, content, and partnership teams to align messaging, support key initiatives, and ensure a seamless user experience.
- Document best practices, workflows, and performance metrics to support continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Ensure all email communications comply with relevant regulations and best practices (e.g., GDPR, CAN-SPAM, etc.).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in email marketing, digital marketing, or corporate communications, preferably in a global or NGO context.
- Proven hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (including Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Email Studio) or similar email automation platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to create engaging and effective email content.
- Analytical mindset with experience interpreting data, segmenting audiences, and optimizing campaigns for growth.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder relationships.
- Proactive, creative thinker with a passion for digital engagement and making an impact.
- Fluency in English, with outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
