Profile
The orthopedic-traumatology service of the Regional Hospital of Lugano is the cantonal center for polytraumatized patients (MAS) and covers the entire spectrum of traumatology and orthopedics, including complex cases throughout the cantonal territory. The service is recognized by the SIWF for training assistants in traumatology and orthopedics of the locomotor system as B1, collaborates with various university centers, and has hosted a Master's teaching in Biomedicine since 2020.
The position is oriented towards doctors interested in training in orthopedics or general training (internal medicine, rheumatology, physiatry, etc.).
Necessary Requirements
- degree/diploma in medicine or equivalent title and related registration with MedReg before starting work activities
- For doctors with foreign qualifications, recognition by the Federal Commission for Medical Professions MEBEKO and related registration with MedReg before starting work activities is mandatory
- proven knowledge of the Italian language (required level at least B2), with related registration with MedReg before starting work activities, knowledge of another national language and English is desirable
- strong relational and teamwork skills
- interest in clinical research is essential
- willingness to work at all EOC locations
