About the job
The pastoral area Rontal includes the three parishes Buchrain-Perlen, Ebikon, and Root and is undergoing a structural transition to Pastoral Area Type B. The associated church communities will vote on a merger in February. We are in the middle of a church development process on all levels. Located on the Lucerne-Zurich axis, the Catholic Church Rontal is part of a significant growth region with great development potential. Together we seek and find new forms and offerings to enable encounters in faith.
Starting August 1, 2026, or by arrangement, we offer a versatile position as Parish Chaplain 50–80 %
Your tasks
- General pastoral care
- Design of various services, celebrations, and funerals in the pastoral area including nursing homes
- Collaboration in sacramental pastoral care, e.g., liturgical accompaniment of the reconciliation path
- Project-related collaboration in offerings for young adults
- Collaboration in the café at the parsonage garden
- Collaboration in various events and projects
- President of FrauenNetz Ebikon
- Support of volunteer groups, e.g., lectors
- Planning and coordination of the parish newsletter
You bring with you
- Open theology and spirituality
- Team-oriented, committed personality
- Willingness to collaborate in the pastoral area
- Completed theology studies and professional introduction of the Diocese of Basel or equivalent qualification
- Independent, structured way of working
