Road Maintenance Worker
Graubünden Civil Engineering Office, District 7 Thusis | 80-100% | Splügen
The Civil Engineering Office is responsible for the planning, construction, maintenance, and operation of the cantonal roads as well as water engineering and slow traffic in Graubünden. We also take care of the operational maintenance of the national roads within the canton. The canton’s road infrastructure includes over 1,450 engineering structures, including bridges at dizzying heights of up to 90 meters and tunnels up to 3 kilometers long. The challenges posed by the nature of our mountain canton in summer and winter make our work demanding and varied. As a Friendly Work Space certified office, the health and satisfaction of our approximately 480 employees are especially important to us. We are looking for a Road Maintenance Worker for the Road Maintenance Department in District 7 Thusis from May 1, 2026 or by agreement.
- Carrying out road maintenance work in a small maintenance team
- Summer and winter service
- Cleanup and repair work after accidents or natural events
- Inspection of road conditions and road facilities
- On-call duty (summer and winter)
- Completed vocational training in construction
- Manual skills
- Physical resilience
- Enjoyment of teamwork
- Driver’s license category C or willingness to obtain it
