In this position, you are primarily responsible for the process of manufacturing compressor wheels at the Baden, Switzerland site. This role requires extensive knowledge in manufacturing technology as well as solid programming skills. The machines are part of a highly automated production line and require corresponding experience and fundamentals in the field of smart factories. You report directly to the head of the rotor manufacturing department.
Your tasks:
End-to-end responsibility for process development in rotor manufacturing: Responsible for manufacturing processes and ensuring process stability in turning and milling operations.
Creating programming templates in 3DX/CATIA and MAX-PAC and NC programmes for turning and milling rotor components.
Development and continuous improvement of the tooling concept and ensuring correct tool data, including interface to tool management.
Supporting production in commissioning new machines and new components.
Definition of all measurement and evaluation parameters to ensure systematic and continuous control of manufacturing processes.
Ensuring and monitoring process stability of manufacturing processes on NC machines: Responsible for process-stable programming, including data/evaluation from the processes.
Independent and proactive communication with production team leaders, machine operators, and PP development.
Your requirements:
Completed technical basic training or university of applied sciences degree.
Further training in NC programming and CAM programming.
Several years (2+ years) of experience in NC programming with a focus on turning and milling.
Experience in independently developing machining processes and direct implementation on NC machine tools (5-axis machining).
Experience in selecting tools for machining with geometrically defined cutting edges.
Structured skills especially in developing and implementing manufacturing processes.
3DX/CATIA or MAX-PAC programming experience is a must.
Several years of experience with Siemens 840d and/or Heidenhain TNC programming architecture is a must.
Deep understanding of complex NC program structure and programming in Siemens and/or Heidenhain TNC high-level language is required.
