The Fribourg Prison (the institution) consolidates the enforcement facilities of the Canton of Fribourg. It has the legal form of a public-law institution with its own legal personality. It is administratively assigned to the Directorate of Security, Justice and Sport and is subject to the supervisory authority of the State Council. The institution ensures the supervision, accommodation, care and treatment of prisoners in its custody and contributes to the implementation of the objectives for the enforcement of custodial sentences and measures.

Your tasks
- Ensure medical care of inmates during their stay in the prison
- Collaborate in an interdisciplinary medical team
- Ensure high-quality care
- Coordinate daily tasks as the person responsible for the day
- Advise and treat patients with addiction disorders
- Prepare and dispense medication
- Supervise and instruct students
- Provide telephone on-call service
Desired profile
- FaGe EFZ, Dipl. Nurse HF or FH or equivalent qualification (with SRK recognition), with several years of professional experience
- Experience in the penal system or specialised nursing – experience in caring for vulnerable population groups is highly desirable
- Competencies in acute care and/or psychiatry
- Good physical and mental condition as well as flexibility and stress resistance
- Ability to work in a sometimes demanding environment
- Strong social, communication and conflict resolution skills
- Willingness to work outside regular hours in emergencies
- Good knowledge of IT tools (MS Office), knowledge of Carefolio is an advantage
- Clean debt enforcement and criminal record extract
- Very good knowledge of French or German, with good knowledge of the other language
