"The Centre for Addiction Disorders is part of the Clinic for Adult Psychiatry and Psychotherapy of the PDAG (Clinic Director Prof. Dr. med. Marc Walter) and is jointly led by PD Dr. med. Eva-Maria Pichler, Chief Physician, and Michael Geissberger, Head of Nursing. It treats people with addiction disorders including psychological secondary and accompanying illnesses, especially dual diagnoses, and covers the spectrum from harm reduction to abstinence-oriented treatment. At the main site in Windisch, three specialised wards with different treatment focuses and day hospital places are available. Also in Windisch, the centre conducts substitution-supported treatment as well as heroin-assisted treatment for people with opioid dependence. At the locations Aarau, Baden and Windisch, it offers outpatient addiction medical assessments, treatments and specialist consultations, also for behavioural addictions. Participation in ongoing clinical research projects is possible and supported. The centre is an SIWF-recognised training centre for the focus area Psychiatry and Psychotherapy of Addiction Disorders, category A, inpatient and outpatient (2 years for the focus area, 1 additional year creditable towards the specialist title)."
Profile
- You have specialist recognition in Psychiatry and Psychotherapy or are close to completion
- Registration in the Medical Professions Register (MedReg) is mandatory
- You have very good German language skills, at least at level C1
- Ideally, you have experience in treating addiction disorders as well as in the outpatient setting
- You are versatile, motivated, enthusiastic, independent and make decisions confidently
- Organisational skills, good communication abilities and enjoyment of interdisciplinary and networked collaboration characterise you
Tasks
- You independently conduct outpatient psychiatric-psychotherapeutic assessments and treatments of adults with addiction disorders, also considering comorbid mental illnesses
- You take on leadership responsibility for a small, multiprofessional treatment team
- Your duties include supervising the delegated working clinical psychologists under your responsibility
- You actively participate in the continuing education of the interdisciplinary team and contribute to the further development of treatment concepts
- You promote networking between outpatient and inpatient services as well as the preceding and subsequent agencies of the addiction support system. The goal is integrated and needs-oriented treatment for people with addiction disorders
- You participate in on-call duties within the framework of the PDAG service concept
