About the job
Sennhütte Zug – Psychotherapy that changes life worlds
The Sennhütte is a specialised institution for addiction therapy on the Zugerberg. We support people with addiction disorders on their path to as self-determined a life as possible. In doing so, we combine psychotherapeutic treatment with social psychiatric and social therapeutic thinking and include the entire life situation of our clients in the treatment.
Due to a retirement and a professional reorientation towards self-employment, we are looking to strengthen our therapeutic team with two new colleagues from 1 December 2026 or by arrangement as
Psychotherapist / Psychologist 40–80 %
The workloads can be individually agreed between 40–80 %. For one of the two positions, there is also the prospect of later taking on the professional and personnel management of the Psychotherapy team. Leadership experience is an advantage but not a prerequisite – what matters is interest and enjoyment in taking responsibility and further developing the therapeutic area together with us.
Would you like to psychotherapeutically support people with addiction disorders and include their entire life situation? Do you enjoy interdisciplinary work, want to set your own professional priorities and actively help shape our therapeutic offering?
Your task
- You conduct psychotherapeutic individual sessions and design therapeutic group offerings. You take case responsibility for individual clients and contribute your therapeutic professional perspective in case discussions, status assessments and interdisciplinary treatment planning.
- You work closely with professionals from psychotherapy, social pedagogy, social work and work therapy. In doing so, you support clients in developing psychological stability, abstinence and relapse prevention as well as in developing sustainable perspectives in the areas of housing, work, relationships and social integration.
- You contribute your professional ideas and priorities and have the opportunity to actively further develop our psychotherapeutic offering.
- You participate in the further development of interdisciplinary treatment and our therapeutic offerings.
Your profile
- A university degree in psychology as well as completed or advanced training in psychotherapy
- Enjoyment and interest in psychotherapeutic work with people with addiction disorders and complex psychosocial burdens
- A resource-oriented, clear and pragmatic attitude as well as enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration
- Preferably a cognitive-behavioural orientation
- Experience with or interest in DBT, skills training and emotion regulation
- Knowledge in evidence-based and trauma-sensitive handling of trauma-related disorders
- Interest in mindfulness-based and body-oriented approaches
Team leadership prospect
There is the possibility of later taking on the professional and personnel management of the Psychotherapy team.
For this, we additionally wish for interest in leadership and development tasks, enjoyment in professionally supporting a small therapeutic team and further developing psychotherapy within the Sennhütte together with management. Leadership experience is an advantage but not a prerequisite.
What you can look forward to
- You can expect a varied psychotherapeutic and social psychiatric field of work with plenty of scope for design.
- You can set your own professional priorities and especially further develop DBT- and skills-oriented approaches, psychoeducation, emotion regulation, relapse prevention as well as mindfulness-based working methods.
- You work in an open, lively and humorous team closely with various professional areas. At the same time, the position offers you space to contribute your expertise, implement your own ideas and actively help shape the therapeutic area.
- In addition, there are contemporary employment conditions and a special workplace in the middle of nature on the Zugerberg.
If you are looking for a place where you can combine psychotherapeutic expertise with social psychiatric and social therapeutic thinking, support people in a life-oriented way and actively help shape our offering, we look forward to getting to know you.
