About the job

The Deli Factory, the innovative food competence centre of the Migros Zürich cooperative, produces demand-oriented assortments and modular products for the Migros Group. For our team, we are looking immediately or by arrangement for a motivated, experienced leader with a passion for food, organisational talent, and experience in large-scale production.

What you will achieve

• Operational management: Ensuring the production process, leading the team in shift work, and deputising for the head chef.
• Production and process responsibility: You plan, control and optimise production processes and ensure the correct use of machinery.
• Personnel management and training: You guide employees, train them in daily work, and promote a positive team culture.
• Quality, hygiene and safety: You ensure compliance with hygiene, safety and quality standards.
• Administrative tasks: You support deployment planning, shift organisation, forecasts and key figures.

What you bring

• Education: Completed vocational training (EFZ)
• Specialisation: as a cook
• Professional experience: Several years of professional experience as chef de partie, sous chef or team leader in a production kitchen or large-scale catering
• You have experience in food production, gastronomy or communal catering
• You have leadership experience and know how to motivate and guide employees
• You work in a structured, responsible manner and keep an overview even in hectic situations
• You know the requirements for hygiene, quality and safety and implement them consistently
• You bring organisational skills as well as a confident handling of production processes and planning
• You have good knowledge of modern cooking and production methods such as sous-vide, cook & chill and bulk production.
