BFF Competence Education Bern is the leading intercultural education centre for the topics: bridging courses, care, health, hotel and domestic management, childhood pedagogy, social pedagogy, facility management and further education. 5800 people from over 80 different nations work and learn at the school.
At the Vocational Education Department, adolescents and adults are taught the 2- and 3-year basic training courses in the professional fields of care, health and hotel and domestic management. In addition, the annual general education course for adults is offered. Our learners attend practical and competence-oriented lessons. Around 100 teachers accompany a total of over 2400 learners on their way to a successful professional qualification. Become one of them!

Tasks
You teach vocational studies nursing according to the education and school curriculum FaGe. Your teaching is competence-oriented and takes situational didactics into account. You are part of a committed team and actively participate in subject and school development.
Working days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (starting Monday, 1 February 2027)
Teaching: 21 lessons (80.77%), 2 classes in the first and 1 class in the second year of training
Function as class teacher in 2 classes
Requirements
As a trained vocational school teacher for vocational studies, you have teaching experience or are willing to complete the course of study. You have sound professional skills and experience in the health sector (nursing, acute care, Spitex, psychiatry, rehab). You are characterised by a high degree of initiative, can deal with different learning prerequisites and enjoy working with learners.
Differentiated instruction, language-sensitive didactics, individual learning support and proficient use of blended learning are strengths of your teaching. You deal professionally with behavioural problems in adolescence and generational conflicts. You bring a willingness for proactive, interdisciplinary collaboration within the subject group, the FaGe faculty and the entire department.
A large part of your working time is spent on site exchanging ideas with your team colleagues.
