About the job
For a duration of six months, you will work at a 90–100% workload at our main site in Zug
This position offers you
- You actively participate in technology projects – from initial research through solution development to the implementation phase – thus contributing to the successful realisation of innovative approaches
- You proactively contribute your own ideas and support the development of viable, future-oriented concepts in an interdisciplinary environment
- You are responsible for the conception as well as the design and construction of functional models and prototypes, which form the basis for further development steps
- In the laboratory, you test and validate prototypes, compare measurement results with theoretical models, and thus ensure a well-founded evaluation of the approaches
- You analyse and interpret measurement data, systematically verify hypotheses, and derive concrete optimisations and further developments
- You prepare the results in a structured manner, interpret them purposefully, and present your findings
You bring the following to the position
- You are studying mechanical engineering, process engineering, materials science, mechatronics, physics, or a comparable course of study and have already successfully completed at least 5 semesters (including transcript)
- You have initial knowledge of relevant tools and software solutions (e.g. CAD, simulation tools, Python) and develop your skills further with a lot of initiative
- Your great interest in new technologies and innovations drives you to actively participate and contribute new ideas in an open, interdisciplinary environment
- You convince with a goal- and solution-oriented mindset as well as an independent, structured, and proactive working style
- Your good German and English skills (at least level B2) enable you to communicate confidently in everyday work and professional exchange

V-ZUG Technology and Innovation
In the Technology & Innovation department, we work on the future innovations for our household appliances. We conduct applied research on technologies that will one day find their way into our products. We are an interdisciplinary team with a lot of spirit, and the question "how does this work?" accompanies us daily and drives us.
You can expect a challenging and varied activity within technology and preliminary development. Tailored to your studies, you will be responsible for various work packages in technology projects, such as mechanical design and construction, prototype creation, experimental investigation of components, setup of sensor or analytics solutions, or programming of data-based innovations. You will gain insight into idea and innovation management, our own testing and analysis laboratory, and after a few months, you will certainly view every household appliance with different eyes.
