About the job

The Social Department includes an assessment service, the social service for children and adolescents, the social service for adults, the central services, the social audit office, the health promotion specialist unit as well as the employment integration specialist unit.

For the assessment service we are looking for a temporary position from 1 October 2026 or by arrangement until 30 April 2027 for a

• Initial assessment, networking, coordination and initiation of immediate measures in the areas of social assistance and adult protection
• Assessments in the area of adult protection on behalf of the Child and Adult Protection Authority (KESB)
• New admissions and clarification of entitlement to social assistance applications
• Advice and support for individuals on material, financial, legal and personal issues with the aim of professional and social integration

• Degree in Social Work (University of Applied Sciences or University)
• Several years of professional experience in statutory social assistance and/or adult protection
• Comprehensive knowledge of subsidiarity and social insurance issues
• Teamwork skills, flexibility, resilience, quick comprehension as well as good organisational and administrative working methods
• Communication and conflict resolution skills, initiative and innovativeness
• Very good German language skills, spoken and written
