Senior Scientific Expert

For the Quality Assurance Division in the Filling area, we are looking for a from April 1, 2026, or by arrangement

Senior Scientist Quality Assurance 80% - 100% (m/f/d)

The quality of our products and especially the well-being of our patients are paramount. Our group monitors the aseptic working method and hygiene status in the filling lines and thus ensures that the filling of the open product into sterile bottles takes place under germ-free conditions.

Skills and Responsibilities

• Support and advice in the area of aseptic manufacturing and microbiological laboratories (no execution of activities within manufacturing or the laboratory)
• Check and ensure compliance with GMP requirements in production
• Take over and participate in projects in the area of aseptic manufacturing (especially involvement in commissioning of new filling line, implementation of additional regulatory requirements (Annex 1))
• Control, review and documentation of work steps, review of processes in aseptic production.
• Participation in training and (re)qualification of aseptic production employees
• Support production during problems throughout the entire manufacturing duration regarding compliance and risk assessment (on-call service)
• Handling of complex deviations in the area of aseptic filling and visual inspection.
  • Conduct initial assessments
  • Support function in defining the investigation strategy, including evaluation of technical assessments within the investigation.
  • Support the operations group in the deviation investigation, including definition of appropriate corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to prevent recurrence of a similar deviation.
  • Review of investigation reports in German and English and assessment regarding compliance and risk assessment.
• Preparation and presentation of deviations during internal and external inspections.
• Review of specification documents

Qualifications & Professional Experience:

• A scientific degree (Bachelor, Master or PhD) or equivalent qualification.
• At least 2 years of experience in the GMP area, ideally from the pharmaceutical industry.
• An analytical mindset and the ability to quickly grasp complex contexts and present them clearly and logically structured.
• Good understanding of the logical structure of texts and reports and able to question them
• Team-oriented thinking, strong communication skills, assertiveness and the ability to approach people at all hierarchical levels.
• Quickly shifting focus between supporting multiple projects and flexibility with changing circumstances
• A high degree of independence and initiative.
• Native German speaker and fluent in English, written and spoken.

About this position:

• The work area includes both office activities (about 80% of working time) and inspections in cleanrooms of class C/D/E.
• The inspections are tied to production times (mostly during office hours, but early morning, late evening and night shifts are also possible).
