Job Description
Would you like to be part of the opening of our new Mama Shelter in Zurich?
YOUR MISSION, IF YOU CHOOSE TO ACCEPT IT:
As our Cost Controller, you are the genius behind the scenes ensuring everything remains profitable – without ever compromising the legendary Mama vibe.
These are your tasks:
Cost control like a pro: You work closely with the F&B team to create and maintain technical data sheets, calculate ideal selling prices, and ensure every dish is as profitable as it is delicious. 🍽️
Inventory monitoring: Spot checks, orders, inventory – you keep an eye on everything, ensure seamless stock management, and get to the bottom of discrepancies. 🕵️♀️
Purchasing master: You ensure a smooth and smart purchasing process – checking orders, controlling invoices, and negotiating with suppliers when prices get too creative. 🧐
Cost expert: You track costs and ratios across all hotel areas – from F&B to guest services to the shop. You lead menu engineering meetings with the F&B team, analyze sales costs, and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports to optimize results. 💰
POS pro: You assist in setting up and maintaining the cash register system, create menu items, train new colleagues, and ensure the system runs smoothly. ⚙️
Month-end closing genius: Inventory, provisions, transfers, etc. – at month-end, you ensure all bookings are perfectly recorded. 🧮
Cross-departmental team player: You collaborate with F&B, Housekeeping, Front Office, and other departments, support everyone, and keep an eye on the numbers. 🤝
Qualifications
MADE FOR YOU? ONLY IF…
You are not a beginner in cost control and ideally not a newcomer to the hospitality and/or gastronomy sector. 🏨
You are detail-oriented, nothing escapes you, and you spot every little deviation before anyone else does. 👀
You love numbers, they are your best friends, and you know how to make them work for you. Excel is your comfort zone. 💻
You are super organized and used to multitasking, you prioritize like a pro – even if you have an inventory list in one hand and a call to a supplier in the other. 📋
You like being close to operations and enjoy working with chefs, bartenders, housekeeping, and your finance team. 🧑🤝🧑
You are curious, independent, and a problem solver. 💡
You have very good German skills (C1) and know the Swiss market inside and out 🧐
Since there is an OPENING BUDGET, the salary range is (CHF 70,000.-75,000.00 incl. 13th month) - we are looking exactly for YOU - who loves hospitality and freedom - come as you are 😍
