The Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences combines economic, societal and technological perspectives in teaching and applied research. To further expand our interdisciplinary offerings, we are seeking a committed and innovative individual as a lecturer in Business Administration with a strong interest in the topic area «Financial Management & Business Applications» as well as economic issues at the interface of technology and society.
Your tasks:
- Your main task is to actively design and teach business administration modules in various BSc programmes at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland and the School of Computer Science
- In addition, you will actively contribute your expertise (in the area of «Financial Management & Business Applications») to the development and profiling of the Department of Business and Law as well as the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences, including the further development of the teaching offer
- If interested, you will acquire and supervise applied student and research projects
Your profile:
- A successfully completed degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in Business Administration or a related discipline (e.g. Business Informatics) with comparable professional qualifications
- Enjoyment in conveying practice-relevant concepts, methods and tools from the field of financial corporate management (including financial accounting) and business applications (e.g. enterprise resource planning, business intelligence or data analytics) as well as business administration fundamentals
- Relevant professional experience, ideally in a technology-related or IT environment
- Knowledge in the areas of sustainability, entrepreneurship and innovation or operational and strategic management (desired)
- Teaching experience (at university level) is an advantage
- Enjoyment in working in interdisciplinary teams
