Senior Business Analyst (m/f/d) - Data Steward / Insurance Sector / Bern / 100%

Project:
For our client in the insurance sector, we are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to
support the professional analysis, quality assurance, and further development of
data products and reports. You will analyse data using SQL, define professional
requirements, and support the assurance of data quality as well as the maintenance of
metadata. (Reference number: 925329JA)

Tasks:
? Collection, analysis, and definition of professional requirements for data products and reports
? Creation and maintenance of professional documentation, Q&A documents, and professional aids
? Analysis of data using SQL as well as identification of data relationships and
anomalies
? Definition and further development of quality rules and quality metrics in collaboration
with the Product Owner
? Maintenance of professional metadata and conducting professional clarifications regarding data products,
data replications, and data contracts
? Professional review of data models and incorporation of professional requirements along the
data value chain
? Conducting analyses and requirements engineering as well as acting as an interface between
business units, system architecture, and development teams; if necessary, taking on Product-
Owner tasks in a SAFe environment

Requirements:
? At least 7 years of relevant professional experience as a Business Analyst, Data Steward, or in a
comparable role
? Good understanding of insurance business domains, especially contract management and sales,
as well as the associated processes, data flows, and data foundations
? Experience in collecting, analysing, and documenting professional requirements as well as in
requirements engineering
? Knowledge of data quality, data contracts, and metadata management
? Experience with Power BI as well as knowledge of SQL, Databricks, Oracle Database, and Azure SQL
? Strong analytical skills, a structured working method, and a high
awareness of quality and sense of responsibility for data
? Good communication and coordination skills as well as experience working with
business units, IT, development, and enabling teams
? Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written, for working with
English-language documentation and collaborating with offshore teams
