Freight Forwarding Agent Air Freight

Initial Situation

For a small team, we are looking for a freight forwarding agent with experience in air freight. You take care of your shipments, communicate with customers and partners, and ensure that everything is on its way. If something gets stuck somewhere, there is no long discussion – it gets resolved.

Tasks

• organise and handle air freight shipments worldwide
• book cargo space with airlines or via agents
• prepare export documents (AWB, customs documents, certificates of origin, etc.)
• coordinate collection, packaging and handover
• communicate with customers, partners, airlines and internal departments
• check and record orders in the forwarding system
• monitor shipments and ensure compliance with cut-off times
• support the handling of special transports such as pharmaceuticals or dangerous goods

Requirements

• completed training as a freight forwarding agent
• professional experience in air freight export
• good knowledge of air freight processes, customs requirements and export regulations
• independent, structured working style and enjoyment of customer contact

German: spoken and written very good

Small team, short distances and no long meetings about who is actually responsible. You have your tasks under control, can work independently and know when to simply pick up the phone. And if a shipment suddenly needs to go out urgently five minutes before the end of the working day? Then we see what is possible – after all, finishing time is not an airport slot.
