Logistics Manager (Ward Stocks) in Hospital Logistics
The Supply, Distribution and Storage Service (ADS) is looking for several logistics managers for ward stocks, with a workload between 80% and 100% (permanent contract).
Start dates are planned progressively during 2026.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals and one of the best in the world according to the 2025 ranking by Newsweek magazine. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading and European-scale role in medical care, medical research and education.
The Hospital Logistics Department (LOH) is tasked with ensuring that care, teaching and research units can fully focus on their core business by providing and developing efficient operational logistics services (disinfection and maintenance, patient transfers, sterilisation, catering, goods transport, stock management, etc.).
The Supply, Distribution and Storage Service (ADS) has nearly 130 employees. Its main mission is to control the flow of goods and mail entering and leaving the institution. At the same time, its professional teams manage the stocks of care units, both on hospital wards and for operating theatres.
Mission
- You ensure the supply of ward stocks according to the needs and consumption of care units
- You monitor orders, physically receive goods and handle returns
- You actively participate in the deployment of new ward stocks and guarantee their implementation
- You carry out all tasks related to ward stock activities (answering questions from users and contacts, reporting any malfunctions to management, ...)
- You train and support new employees
- You are willing to work irregular hours (day, evening, weekends and public holidays) in a demanding role (heavy lifting, frequent long-distance travel and repetitive movements)
Profile
- You hold a Federal VET Diploma as a logistician or an equivalent qualification
- You have at least 2 years of professional experience in a similar role
- You possess a forklift truck licence (tow trucks)
- You have received training in manual handling, an advantage
- You have, if possible, knowledge of medical equipment and instruments
- You have good knowledge of office tools (ERP, Excel...)
- You have a good command of French (minimum B2)
- You are organised, rigorous, autonomous, able to respect and manage priorities
- You are interested in a dynamic and constantly evolving field.
