Community Health and Care Assistant (ASSC) in Adult Psychiatry (SPPAO)
As part of the opening of a new hospital unit linked to the increased capacity of the West Adult Psychiatry and Psychotherapy Service (SPPAO), we are looking for a community health and care assistant (ASSC) at an activity rate of 80% to 100%, for a permanent contract, within the Prangins hospital. The starting date is scheduled for 1 November 2026.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital Centre (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a leading role in medical care, medical research and training.
The West Adult Psychiatry and Psychotherapy Service (SPPAO) is part of the CHUV Psychiatry Department. It provides care for people suffering from mental disorders in the western region of the canton of Vaud, through hospital and outpatient facilities promoting continuity of care, interdisciplinary work and quality of the therapeutic relationship.
To support the development of its hospital activity, the service is opening a new unit and strengthening its care teams.
Mission
- You support patients in daily life activities by assisting or supplementing their abilities according to their needs
- You ensure the execution and monitoring of activities delegated by qualified nursing staff
- You perform, under delegation, medical-technical acts in stable situations that do not present an emergency character
- You participate in basic care, maintaining patient comfort and well-being
- You carry out administrative and logistical activities related to patient care
- You actively contribute to multidisciplinary team work and the smooth running of the unit
- You apply institutional procedures, safety rules and good professional practices.
Profile
- You hold a Federal VET Diploma as a Community Health and Care Assistant (ASSC)
- You ideally have experience in psychiatry or a strong interest in this field
- You demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, empathy and proactivity
- You enjoy working in a multidisciplinary team and foster constructive collaborative relationships
- You possess good organisational and adaptability skills and know how to take initiatives within the professional framework
- You are proficient with common IT tools
- You master spoken and written French (minimum B2 level).
