Job description:

As part of Sustenance and compliance projects, we are looking for a CAPEX Project Engineer capable of managing projects from the study phases through to commissioning.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

• Clarify needs with users and various stakeholders and carry out the necessary preliminary studies.
• Manage projects in accordance with the schedule, budget, and defined functional requirements.
• Ensure compliance with HSEQ standards throughout all project phases.
• Ensure the proper translation of functional needs into design and manage technical and process risks.
• Identify and coordinate the necessary internal and external resources, notably with Production, Maintenance, Purchasing, and technical teams.
• Develop specifications and technical requirements for services, materials, and equipment.
• Establish and monitor project schedules, budgets, and costs.
• Participate in purchasing strategies, calls for tenders, and supplier selection.
• Ensure the application of internal directives, technical standards, and best industry practices.
• Prepare and conduct site risk analyses, ensure intervention safety, and manage work permits.
• Monitor construction phases and address any HSEQ, technical, or scheduling deviations.
• Organise commissioning, start-up, and handovers.
• Ensure project reporting, prepare reviews, and capitalise on lessons learned.
• Guarantee the management and archiving of technical documentation.
• Contribute to the formalisation and improvement of CAPEX Sustenance processes.

Requirements:

• Engineering degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience as an engineer.
• Significant experience in an industrial environment, ideally in the chemical or pharmaceutical sectors.
• Experience in managing industrial / CAPEX projects, including study, construction, commissioning phases, and supplier coordination.
• Good understanding of HSEQ requirements and risk management in an industrial environment.
• Strong skills in planning, budget monitoring, and reporting.
• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and work in cross-functional management.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, autonomy, and leadership.
• Fluent French.
• Fluent or professional English.

• 5 to 10 years of professional experience.
• Extensive experience in the chemical or pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience in commissioning, start-up, and handover.
• Experience in writing specifications and technical requirements.
