Job description
Prof. Giulia Neri-Castracane is offering a full-time doctoral assistant position for a person wishing to develop an academic career in corporate law and actively participate in research and scientific dissemination projects in this field.
The assistant will have 50% of the activity rate for the preparation of a doctoral thesis.
Your tasks
The successful candidate will notably participate in:
- research and teaching activities in corporate law and related fields of business and legal person law;
- preparation of courses, seminars and teaching materials;
- writing, proofreading and updating scientific and practical content;
- monitoring academic and editorial projects of Professor Neri-Castracane;
- management and editorial follow-up of a specialised corporate law platform, including coordination of publications, contact with authors, monitoring contributions and participation in the scientific development of the platform;
- organisation of scientific events, conferences or training sessions.
Title and required skills
Profile sought
- Master and Bachelor degrees in Swiss law obtained with very good results;
- Master's students in law at the University of Geneva Faculty may also apply, provided they have already obtained 240 ECTS credits and their diploma thesis is about to be completed.
- Strong interest in corporate law, commercial law and business law;
- Willingness to undertake a doctoral thesis in these fields;
- Very good writing and analytical skills;
- Interest in legal publishing and scientific dissemination;
- Organisational skills, autonomy and ability to work in a team;
- Excellent command of French; good knowledge of English and/or German is an asset.

The candidate will be hired on a two-year contract, renewable for two successive periods of two years and one year respectively. The maximum duration of the assistant position is five years. The first year constitutes a probationary period, during which the employment relationship may be terminated with three months’ notice to the end of a month.
