The ETH domain is facing a significant organisational development. Within the framework of «FIT for the Future», the administrative services of Empa, Eawag, WSL and PSI (4 Research Institutes) are being strategically aligned for the future. The goal is to create overarching, integrated and digitally oriented service organisations.
Senior Programme Manager (100%)
For the management of the Programme Office and as a central key function for programme management, we are seeking an experienced individual for a fixed-term mandate of 2 to 3 years with proven ability to successfully lead complex transformations in the context of scientific excellence and professional, scalable operating models.
Your role
- You will significantly steer the transformation at the interface of strategy and implementation and ensure that this ambitious structural reform is effectively implemented
- You will design and implement, together with the research institutes, the Target Operating Models and integration architectures for Finance, HR and IT
- You will translate strategic decisions into actionable programmes with realistic decision-making and governance structures
- You will shape the implementation of the transformation and ensure prudent and effective change and stakeholder management
- You will be a sparring partner for the programme management and advance topics even where interests diverge and decisions are politically sensitive
Your profile
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Business Informatics or a comparable field
- Several years of experience in designing and implementing transformations in complex organisations (public sector, science or large organisations advantageous)
- Proven successes in cross-organisational integration projects such as building shared services, harmonisation projects or developing new operating models
- Strong ability to develop viable and actionable solutions in politically influenced and stakeholder-intensive contexts
- Ability to confidently switch between strategic concepts, governance issues and operational implementation
- Demonstrated leadership experience in demanding environments with highly qualified professionals
- High personal sovereignty, decisiveness and assertiveness
- Very good German and English skills
