The rehabilitation unit of the Community Psychiatry Service of the Psychiatry Department at CHUV is recruiting a Nurse or an Occupational Therapist with art therapy training at a 70% activity rate for a start date on 1 August 2026 or to be agreed.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Psychiatry Department consists of 10 Services addressing the three stages of life. It covers the Central, Western, and Northern psychiatric sectors of the canton. Its mission is the comprehensive and multidisciplinary care of children, adolescents, adults, and elderly people suffering from mental disorders. Caregivers provide acute care but also offer outpatient follow-ups and support in the patient’s usual living environment.
The Community Psychiatry Service’s mission is to develop a social psychiatry hub oriented towards the community. It includes various Units with a community vocation.
The Community Psychiatry Service includes:
- The rehabilitation unit and rehabilitation workshops
- The Mobile Psychiatry section (CMT/Psy&migrants/SIM)
- The RESSORT unit.
Mission
- You meet beneficiaries and provide outpatient psychiatric care as well as day hospital activities according to recovery principles
- You provide case-management follow-up for people with significant mental disorders and complex bio-psycho-social situations
- You join a multidisciplinary team and maintain direct links with Vaud socio-sanitary structures
- You lead individual or group art therapy sessions
- You demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in supporting beneficiaries.
Profile
- You hold a Bachelor of Science HES in nursing (or an equivalent qualification, as well as Red Cross recognition for foreign-qualified personnel or a positive Precheck, mandatory)
- You have art therapy training
- You have at least 2 years of professional experience
- You possess good knowledge of the Vaud psychiatric and socio-sanitary network and experience in psychiatric settings
- You show a keen interest in psychiatry and the recovery model.
