Assistant Physician at the North Vaud Psychiatry Centre (CPNVD)
Due to an immediate replacement until 30 April 2027, the Department of Psychiatry is seeking an assistant physician, at a workload of 80 to 100%, for one of the hospital units of the Northern Adult Psychiatry and Psychotherapy Service (SPPAN), located at the North Vaud Psychiatry Centre (CPNVD) in Yverdon-les-Bains.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Northern Adult Psychiatry and Psychotherapy Service (SPPAN) is one of the clinical services of the Department of Psychiatry. It provides comprehensive, multidisciplinary, and local care for people suffering from mental disorders in the North Vaud region, in close collaboration with partners in the care network.
The teams work according to a multidisciplinary model, bringing together doctors, nurses, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and other health professionals.
Located in the heart of the city of Yverdon-les-Bains, the North Vaud Psychiatry Centre (CPNVD) is part of an integrated community psychiatry approach, promoting accessibility of care and social reintegration of hospitalised persons.
The role of relatives is actively valued and integrated into care.
Mission
- You ensure direct and indirect clinical activity in the care of patients in the unit, in close collaboration with multidisciplinary stakeholders and under medical supervision
- You participate in the on-call system of the CPNVD
- You complete your postgraduate training according to ISFM requirements and institutional rules
- You assume administrative management activities related to the position.
Profile
- You hold a medical degree (or equivalent foreign qualification recognised by MEBEKO)
- You are interested in working as part of a team
- You have a sense of responsibility
- You master French (minimum B2 level certificate required), for non-French speakers
- You have the possibility to train in psychotherapy, and preferably have experience in psychiatry.
