Restoration Traineeship

From 1 January 2027, for a duration of one year, we are looking for a committed and reliable person for a traineeship in the conservation/restoration sector (80%). Following the renovation and expansion of the cultural property protection facility, the entire collection will be temporarily transferred to an external art storage at the beginning of 2028. As part of the traineeship, the selected person will support us particularly in the conservation and organisational preparation of the artworks in view of the transfer.
- Analysis of the conservation status and restoration needs of the artworks in preparation for the transfer
- Preparation of conservation status reports and photographic documentation
- Definition of appropriate packaging methods for transport and professional packing of the artworks
- Collaboration in the organisation, preparation and execution of the collection transfer to the external storage
- Planning and professional execution of restoration interventions
- Completed university studies in conservation and restoration (bachelor or master)
- Practical experience in conservation, restoration and handling of artworks
- Ability to handle artworks safely and carefully
- Independent, reliable and structured working method
- Willingness to collaborate and exchange expertise within the team
