Chemical Operator in the Pilot Plant / Chemical and Pharmaceutical Technologist

The full-time position is to be filled immediately or by arrangement.

Your Role

Siegfried has a wide range of development and multipurpose production plants for pharmaceutical active ingredients (API). In a 3-shift operation (Mon-Fri) or 4-shift operation, you are responsible in the pilot plants of chemical development for:

• Production of demanding pharmaceutical intermediates and active ingredients
• Development and scale-up (Scale up, Small Scale) in the pilot plants
• Scale-up of newly developed chemical processes in the mini pilot (10 l - 30 l)
• Independent operation of PLC and pneumatically controlled plants
• Independent execution of multi-step syntheses
• Operation of all auxiliary plants in the chemical-pharmaceutical area
• Documentation of all activities in a GMP-compliant and correct manner
• Compliance with all GMP and safety-relevant requirements

Your Profile

• Professional qualification as a chemical and pharmaceutical technologist, chemical operator or chemical production specialist with several years of experience
• Professional experience in operating (multipurpose) plants and control systems in chemical or pharmaceutical production
• Knowledge of the basic operations of chemical production (preparation, dosing, crystallization, filtration, distillation and separation, etc.)
• Willingness to relocate to Switzerland, if applicable
• High safety and quality awareness as well as willingness to be flexible and to continue training at the workplace
• Experience in a GMP-regulated work environment
• Broad experience in operating PLC systems
• MS Office skills
• Very good German language skills

At our headquarters in Zofingen, we develop and produce active ingredients (API) and corresponding intermediates. This also includes the production of highly potent active ingredients. Furthermore, we offer chemical process development as well as pharmaceutical services.
