Your Work Environment

With over 1000 employees, the University Geriatrics FELIX PLATTER is one of the leading institutions in Switzerland for geriatrics, psychiatry, and rehabilitation. With us, the highest medical competence and genuine empathy come together – become part of our dedicated team!

Our unit consists of a total of 10 staff members and offers 6 patient beds, divided into 4 monitoring beds on the ground floor and 4 additional beds in the 2 North ward. We provide specialized care and attend to all acute admissions around the clock. These patients are quickly transferred after initial care and stabilization. Furthermore, we admit internal patients to our monitoring unit whose condition deteriorates and ensure continuous, professional care. We work person-centered, with each stay individually tailored to the needs of the patients. We work in nursing according to the principles of Lean Management.

Your Tasks

Deriving the individual nursing needs or nursing goals within the entire nursing process, setting up action plans, implementing the planned measures with the support of nursing assistants and practical nurses, and continuously evaluating the overall process

Supporting and advising patients and their relatives in complex nursing situations

Implementing internal quality standards and guidelines and participating in continuous improvement processes (CIP) within the framework of Lean Management

Supporting trainers in the education of apprentices and students

Your Profile

Diploma in Health and Nursing HF, FH

IMC course is an advantage

Professional experience in acute medicine and rehabilitation

Communicative and independent personality who enjoys working with people, likes to work in a multidisciplinary team, and values constructive collaboration

Teamwork skills, customer orientation, conflict resolution skills, and business acumen
