The social service is an independent specialist service and part of the interprofessionally networked treatment offerings of the Psychiatric Services Thun. Using social integrative and social work scientific principles, social work contributes to the sustainable treatment of patients. In this interesting role, you will provide counseling and support to patients and their relatives in the core processes of finances, work/daily structure, housing, and social networking, as well as establishing contact with authorities, counseling centers, and institutions. You clarify matters, establish contact with specialized support centers and organizations, and coordinate collaboration accordingly, such as in debt and legal counseling as well as IV case management. If necessary, you also make home visits. You will work at our location in Steffisburg.
Start date January 1, 2026, or by arrangement.
How to become part of our team
- You have a completed degree in Social Work at the Bachelor level
- You have several years of professional experience, ideally in clinical social work and geriatric psychiatry
- You enjoy working independently and appreciate collaboration in an interdisciplinary team
- You demonstrate resilience in demanding situations
