About the job
What you will do here
- Teach students of all classical study programmes (PreCollege, Bachelor, Master Pedagogy, Master Performance and Master Specialized Music Performance) in the subject of violin
- Pass on your high artistic expertise in numerous modules; for example in chamber music, performative-transdisciplinary formats and project groups
- In addition to teaching the traditional repertoire in your main subject class, supervise violin and string students in the subject of contemporary music interpretation
- As part of a modern art university, support the next generation and actively contribute to research fields and music mediation contexts
- Build and maintain your class on site in weekly face-to-face lessons, auditions, commission and examination work, as well as further develop study content
What you ideally bring with you
- Successfully completed university studies, a high artistic qualification and pedagogical-didactic experience at university level
- International artistic activity in ensembles, chamber music and solo performance. The field of contemporary music plays a significant role in your portfolio
- Confident use of the current diversity of methods in didactics and technically informed handling of digital teaching tools. Interest in subject-related research topics
- Good knowledge of the Swiss music education system with regard to broad and elite promotion
- Fluent correspondence and teaching language in German, English and/or French are expected. Team spirit and willingness to collaborate
