Our locations, the Uster Education Center, the Loft School Uster, and the Vocational Baccalaureate Campus in Wetzikon, stand for modern learning environments and motivating meeting spaces.
We want our learners to acquire expertise and at the same time develop personally. For this, they sometimes need above all one thing: a person who is there for problems in everyday school life, in private or at work, listens, and finds solutions.
And this is where you come in.
As a school social worker, you are more than a contact point; you are an active bridge builder between school, leisure, and work:
- you are a specialist and part of our learner counseling « help4u@bfsu »
- you accompany and advise learners and students in personal, social, and school challenges and also conduct class interventions
- you support the BFSU team in recognizing psychosocial problems of learners to be able to take meaningful measures early
- you work closely with trainers, teachers, and our learner counseling help4u
- you are a sparring partner and help shape a well-coordinated network
- together with the team, you implement prevention programs and develop socio-pedagogical projects that strengthen the school climate
- you are well networked within the school
- you maintain exchange with external specialist agencies and other school social workers
- you organize further training for teachers, school management, and the help4u team
- you coordinate intervention and support measures internally and with external agencies
We are looking for a specialist who brings practical experience in dealing with young people and the right mindset:
- you have experience in school social work or in working with adolescents and young adults
- you are authentic and find creative ways to reach young people
- you can communicate at eye level – with young people, teachers, trainers, specialists, school management, and authorities
- you have a bachelor's degree in social work combined with further training in school social work (CAS), then you meet the formal employment requirements, or you have an unconventional CV but valuable experience and are willing to complete the necessary training
- A well-coordinated team: You will be part of a cool team with strong cohesion, where everyone supports each other
- Support & Coaching: The chance to actively accompany and coach young people on their path
- 60% part-time position – room for quality in the job and for your life outside of work
- Authentic appreciation & participation – we listen and implement
- Modern environment & innovative spirit – you work at a school that lives digitalization and interdisciplinary education
- Meaningful activity: You help young people overcome hurdles and find their way
- Networks & further development: You are networked – professionally, scholastically, and externally
