The Finance Specialist (and ICT) is responsible for and supports tasks in the areas of finance, IT, personnel and supervision of municipal enterprises within our Finance and Controlling team and is in contact with all departments and all school districts of the municipality of Glarus. Bring your experience and help us as a municipality to progress. In this role, you will be part of our department and make an important contribution to the smooth running of processes within the municipal administration.

Your versatile area of responsibility

• Financial management with foresight: You take co-responsibility for the financial processes of the municipality of Glarus and ensure stable resource management
• Co-responsibility for the budget process, annual financial statements, audit, investment projects and supervision of trainees
• You provide well-founded and precise analyses and reports that serve as a reliable basis for decisions by our management bodies
• You question existing processes and improve the quality of our internal control system (ICS)
• You contribute your expertise to (strategic) projects and actively shape the digital and financial transformation of the administration
• You advise our sparring partners competently and confidentially on all financial matters
  

What you bring with you

• A higher professional qualification in finance and accounting as well as extensive experience in accounting, controlling and ICS
• You quickly understand complex financial contexts and communicate them confidently and appropriately for the audience
• You work in a structured manner, keep an overview even in complex situations and manage your tasks in a goal-oriented way
• Confident use of common IT applications (Microsoft Office, Abacus, banking software)
• Your already acquired leadership skills are an advantage
