Your daily tasks & responsibilities

• Act as Burn Test Engineer
• Support the Team Leader Burn Test in administrative and organisational tasks
• Ensure correct consideration and application of Certification Basis, Rules and Regulations, Means of Compliance and Interpretations in the engineering output for the product, system or installation designed
• Ensure adequate communication and liaison internally, especially with the Engineering Team, Production Team as well as with external Third Parties

Main Activities

• Review Engineering/Upholstery drawings
• Establishing flammability test plans, Burn Test requests and reports and ensuring the timely performance of the required flammability tests
• Production liaison and support
• Subcontractor and Burn Test Laboratories liaison and support
• Processing and administration of engineering manufacturing data
• Administration and interface of material information (Materials, Standard Parts, Quantity management) and ordering interface to the logistics department

The expertise you have & skills you bring

• Applicable engineering degree or similar qualification within aviation
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a burn test engineer, preferable within aviation
• Computer literate with MS Office software (Word, Excel, Power Point)
• Experience with AMOS
• Good communication skills in English; German or French in addition will be an advantage
• Pro-active team player with an project oriented functioning
• Dedicated to quality, reliability and safety
