What does the Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technologist EFZ do?

The Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technologist* produces chemical pharmaceutical active ingredients using highly automated technological systems while considering maximum safety and environmental protection. They are responsible for the correct production and strict adherence to the respective production regulations.

How is the apprenticeship structured?

During the three-year apprenticeship, trainees work in various production and development departments where they learn the practical activities of the CPT. At the vocational school in Aarau, subjects such as chemical technology, technical mathematics, chemistry / ecology, pharmacology / biology, English, computer science, general education, and sports are taught 2 days a week. Parts of the training are provided in inter-company courses. Completing the vocational baccalaureate during the apprenticeship is supported by the company.
