The Staatswald Forestry Operation is one of around 300 public forest owners in the canton of St. Gallen and, with nine forest rangers and five apprentices, also the largest forestry employer and training company. The canton-owned forests are managed at the locations Goldach and Oberuzwil, and a variety of work is carried out for third parties.
