For the further development of our social diaconate with a focus on elderly care, we are looking for a
You enjoy working with people, build sustainable relationships and support them in various life situations. Together with volunteers, the diaconate and pastoral team, you shape a lively diaconate for our community.
Your tasks
- You design the social diaconal work for and with people in the third and fourth stages of life
- You continue the men's work and develop it together with volunteers
- You recruit, accompany and promote volunteers in your area of work
- You are responsible for the OeME/bfa area, bring social and global solidarity into community life and network with partner organisations
- You are responsible for various community projects such as senior afternoons, pasta per tutti, senior holidays, etc., are open to further development and new projects such as fasting week, soup day or other OeME offerings, grief café, storytelling café, new resident events
Your profile
- Social diaconal or equivalent training in the social field (FH/HF) or a comparable qualification
- Motivation for working with older people as well as accompanying and promoting volunteers
- Enjoyment in supporting people, fostering community and co-creating new things
- Independent, structured and team-oriented working style
- Initiative, constructive work and a sense of humour
- Identification with Christian values and the values of the Reformed Church as well as ideally experience in working in a church community. You bring basic church-theological knowledge or are willing to acquire it through appropriate further training
- Energy and joy in continuing proven practices, hands-on involvement and implementing new ideas
