To strengthen our portfolio management team, we are looking for an experienced and analytically strong individual who wants to help shape and further develop our equity investments.

Portfolio Manager Equities

Location: Basel

Start date: Immediately or by arrangement

Workload: 80 – 100%

Your responsibilities

• Responsibility and leadership of equity research and stock selection
• Fundamental company analyses
• Active management of equity positions in discretionary mandates
• Further development of the research and selection process, including integration of AI and digital tools
• Support of the Tareno Global Water Solutions Fund team in stock selection and sustainability
• Active participation in the investment committee in defining investment policy
• Contact person for client advisors and clients on questions regarding equity markets and stock selection
• Deputy in the area of sustainability/ESG
• Presentation of investment ideas and portfolio developments in writing and orally, internally as well as to clients and media

Your profile

You are an experienced and analytically strong individual with proven expertise in fundamental equity analysis and stock selection and enjoy making investment decisions independently and representing them convincingly.

• University degree with a focus on economics or finance; CFA, CIIA/AZEK or comparable education and training
• Very good German and English skills, spoken and written
• Several years of experience in portfolio management, asset management or equity research
• Proven track record in stock selection and assessment of equity investments
• Sound knowledge of portfolio construction, performance analysis and risk management
• Very good understanding of international capital markets as well as strong interest in companies, industries and economic contexts
• Experience and knowledge in integrating ESG criteria into the investment process is an advantage
• Analytical, structured and independent working style with high quality standards
• Ability to analyse complex issues and derive clear investment decisions
• Very good IT skills, openness to new technologies and affinity for AI as well as digital research and analysis tools
• High communication and team skills as well as confident appearance towards clients and external stakeholders
