About the job
The Child and Adult Protection Authority Glarus (KESB) is responsible for ensuring the protection of persons who cannot manage their own affairs and are also unable to independently obtain the necessary support. The KESB is supported by its own clarification service, a secretariat, an audit office, and an advisory centre for private mandate holders.
We are looking for a
Lawyer KESB 80 %
for the Legal and Clarification Service in Child and Adult Protection
starting 1 July 2026 or by arrangement, based in Glarus.
Tasks
- Legal clarifications of complex matters in child and adult protection as well as procedural issues
- Clarifications regarding various legal transactions and protective custody
- Preparation of decisions and orders as a basis for authority rulings
- Support of authority members in specialist matters
- Bringing the legal perspective into internal meetings
- Participation in consultations, statements, revisions, information leaflets, as well as minute-taking at authority meetings and hearings
- Contribution to the further development of the interdisciplinary KESB
Requirements
- University degree in law
- Good knowledge of child and adult protection
- Fluency in written and spoken language
- High sense of responsibility and resilience
- Strong affinity for networked and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Social competence and assertiveness
