Apprenticeship as an Industrial Equipment ConstructorThe apprenticeship lasts 4 years and leads to the Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC).
Theoretical training:
Courses are held at the Professional School for Craft and Community Services (EPASC) in Martigny, one or two days per week.
Practical training:
Practical training in the company takes place at CIMO, under the supervision of a trainer.
Inter-company courses (CIE) take place at the Technical and Vocational School (EPTM) in Sion.
As part of your apprenticeship, you will be introduced to four specialisations of the profession: piping, boilermaking, locksmithing, and plastics.
In these four areas, you will take measurements, produce unique parts according to 2D and 3D models, use advanced machines (CNC, robot, etc.), perform welding using various processes, manufacture supports, and install them on different sites.
The core of the profession consists of planning and producing installations as well as complex parts and industrial equipment.
After obtaining your CFC, you can consider the following further training:
After a few years of practice and depending on your skills, you can access positions of responsibility such as team leader, workshop manager, or production manager.
