You independently take on project mandates within a railway line and accompany their development from the assignment of the study, through the related design, to its successful completion. In this way, you make an important contribution to the development and maintenance of the railway infrastructure. What you can get moving.

• You independently manage a geographical area (lines and nodes) as network manager, client and principal of SBB Infrastructure projects.
• Taking into account railway operational and technical-construction aspects, you group infrastructure interventions into coherent projects that ensure both economically efficient execution of works and customer satisfaction.
• You are responsible for the comprehensive setup of construction projects in the assigned sector and contribute decisively to the planning and management of the entire SBB Infrastructure project portfolio.
• As an internal client for SBB Infrastructure, you share responsibility for achieving project objectives (financing, costs, quantities, deadlines). You manage requirements and changes and govern projects from assignment through to testing and delivery.
• In ongoing projects, you represent the interests of facility owners (Life Cycle Manager). You also conduct negotiations regarding contributions with third parties.

What you bring with you.

• You are a team-oriented person who works effectively in an agile organisation. You quickly build a solid network of contacts, enjoy working independently and use your wide scope of action to achieve significant results with us.
• Changes in the operating context and new challenges stimulate you to find creative solutions and, thanks to your performance orientation, you achieve ambitious goals.
• You work pragmatically and solution-oriented. You have a strong personality and a marked ability to integrate different interests. You remain calm under pressure and set the right priorities.
• You have professional experience in related fields, for example as a multidisciplinary project manager, client in strategic facility management, network development or in the areas of railway operations and timetabling.
• We expect a university or university of applied sciences degree in engineering or business administration, or equivalent training with appropriate professional experience. Alternatively, you have many years of experience in the railway sector.
• You have German or Italian as your mother tongue and excellent knowledge of the other language, enabling you to communicate and negotiate effectively with a wide range of interlocutors.
