Optometrist, 40-60%

fixed-term, starting immediately or by arrangement – with a prospect of permanent employment

We are a specialist in refractive laser surgery with locations in Zurich, Basel, Bern and Düsseldorf. As a family business in its second generation, we are independent of investors – our focus is not on turnover figures, but on our patients and our team. With the latest technology and plenty of time for personal care, we accompany them on the path to better vision. For our team in Bern, we are looking for a committed professional to cover a colleague during her maternity leave.

Your tasks

Independent execution of suitability assessments and measurements as well as support of our optometrists during preliminary examinations and follow-upsReception, care and advice for patients before and after laser surgeryAssistance during laser operations – you are the right hand of our surgeons in the operating theatrePreparation of surgical reusable instruments (cleaning, disinfection and sterilisation)Planning of operation days, appointment scheduling and coordination of practice workflowAdministrative tasks and processing of patient enquiries

Your profile

Completed training as an optometristGood optical understanding, ideally interest or experience in the field of refractive surgeryEnjoyment in dealing with people and a professional appearanceVery precise and careful working method – also in a sterile environmentCommunication skills, team spirit and flexibility to quickly integrate into an existing teamFluent German skills, good French and English skills are an advantage

Tuesday: 08:00 – 18:00Wednesday: closedThursday and Friday: 10:00 – 20:00Saturday: 09:00 – 14:00

The position is initially limited as maternity cover. However, we see this as the beginning of a long-term collaboration and offer you permanent employment subject to mutual satisfaction.
