The Kartause Ittingen is one of the leading seminar and cultural centers in Switzerland and offers a highly versatile and exciting environment with hotel, seminar and banquet operations, restaurants, agriculture, viticulture, cheese dairy, gardening, fish farming, butcher shop as well as an offer for assisted work and living. It also houses the Thurgau Art Museum and the Ittinger Museum.

We were founded in 1977 as a private law foundation. In the first years, 40 million in donations were generated from institutional, small and major donors. Since then, however, fundraising has not been professionally supported except that regular donors continued to be welcomed. Nevertheless, some successful campaigns were carried out.

With this position, you have the opportunity to relaunch and establish this area. We are looking for someone immediately or by arrangement

This challenging and varied position includes the following tasks:

Operational setup and further development of the entire fundraising across all segments (foundations, major donors, small donations, companies, etc.)

Development of pragmatic fundraising strategies and implementation in daily business

Personal acquisition, care and maintenance of central sponsor and partner relationships

Independent preparation of funding applications, budgets, reports and impact presentations in close cooperation with the specialist departments

Establishment of clear processes, work tools and standards (application processes, templates, timelines, decision paths)

Introduction or further development of CRM, data maintenance, reporting and forecasting

Planning and implementation of fundraising activities (including events)

Close cross-departmental cooperation with management, programs, communication and finance

You bring with you:

Commercial training, university degree advantageous or equivalent qualification

Several years of experience in fundraising with a strong hands-on focus

Experience in building or professionalizing fundraising structures

Very good skills in writing applications and reports as well as in personal relationship building

High personal responsibility, resilience and enjoyment of independent work

Very good German skills, English required, French advantageous

ABACUS knowledge advantageous
