The Secondary School and Vocational Training Office (MBA) is the competence and service center for vocational education, high schools, higher vocational education, and continuing education in the canton of Zurich. We support and supervise secondary schools, vocational schools, providers of preparatory vocational years, and training companies.
The Digital Service Center Sek II provides services in this environment to support administrative and pedagogical-didactic processes for around 60,000 users in over 40 cantonal schools. We are looking for an employee in the Application Service area as a specialist application manager with a workload of 80-100%, starting immediately or by arrangement.
Your area of responsibility
- Professional responsibility for the school administration application
- Chairing and participating in committees as well as their coordination (steering group, power users, module managers, working groups, etc.)
- Responsibility for requirements and change management of the school administration application for secondary schools
- Ensuring 2nd level support (processing incoming requests/faults via ticket system)
- Participation in and management of projects
- Conducting training for users
- Creating and maintaining documentation and instructions
- Interface between users and internal as well as external partners
Your profile
- Education in computer science or business informatics HF, FH or equivalent education with at least 2 years of professional experience
- Technical understanding for working in virtual desktop environments
- Database flair (SQL) advantageous
- Knowledge/experience of processes in secondary level II education
- Independent, qualitative, structured, process-oriented and customer-oriented working style
- Communication skills
- Knowledge of processes and workflows in the ITSM environment, advantageous
- Experience in project work methods (e.g., HERMES, SCRUM)
