Transport Dispatcher

About the job

The Logistics Transport department ensures all services related to delivery and returns in a 7x24h operation for around 200 locations. You are responsible for organising transport processes efficiently and taking over the planning and coordination of transports.

Important notes: Willingness to work shifts (3-shift operation between 03:00 and 21:00) from Monday to Saturday.

What you move

• Monitoring the site management system
• Route planning and vehicle disposition
• Monitoring daily operations
• Ensuring the flow of information to customers and drivers
• Contact person for customers and suppliers regarding transports

What you bring

• Education: Completed basic or further training
• Field: In logistics or similar
• Professional experience: 2-3 years of experience as a dispatcher
• Sound knowledge of various transport equipment such as solo vehicles, tractor units, trailers and articulated lorries
• Detailed knowledge of the Zurich region and Migros locations is an advantage
• Service-oriented, team-capable and reliable personality with an independent working style
• Quick comprehension and the ability to understand the interrelations of complex systems
• Good MS Office skills
• German (C1)
