The Appenzell Ausserrhoden Hospital Network, with the Herisau Acute Hospital and the AR Psychiatric Centre in Herisau, ensures extended basic medical care for the population in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden and is also the first point of contact for a large part of the population in the surrounding region. Both locations are relevant for care within the canton and beyond.

In the Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy under the nursing management of Mr Sven Lang, Ms Claudia van Briel is seeking a qualified nurse HF/FH or a health specialist in the field of psychotherapy from 1 August 2026 or by arrangement, for a 60% workload predominantly on the night shift.

- Planning, implementing, evaluating and concluding the nursing process
- Accompanying and supporting patients in everyday life and crisis situations as well as shaping and promoting a health-promoting ward environment
- Adhering to nursing standards and working with nursing diagnoses
- Creating the necessary documentation in ORBIS NICE and forwarding relevant information
- Leading and accompanying nursing-led psychotherapeutic and milieu-therapeutic groups
- Applying complementary medical methods
- Close and transparent collaboration with all professionals involved in treatment, including external contacts
- Carrying out diagnostic and therapeutic measures according to medical prescription
- Recording services according to specifications
Therefore, we want you
- You have completed training as a qualified nurse HF/FH or health specialist
- You have professional experience in psychiatry; experience in psychotherapy is an advantage
- You have a cooperative and solution-oriented working style, are resilient and flexible, and able to think in a networked way
- You are interested in close collaboration within the interprofessional treatment team
- You have an open, team-oriented and empathetic basic attitude
- You enjoy working independently and responsibly
- You are motivated to actively contribute to the further development of the ward concept
