About the job
The Quality Development Service Centre of the University of St.Gallen (HSG) is part of the Quality and Sustainability division within the Vice-Rectorate for Innovation and Quality. Our tasks include conducting accreditations, supporting ranking activities, further developing and implementing evaluations, providing monitoring tools, analyses and reports for programme management and informed decision-making processes, as well as ensuring linguistic consistency. With our services, analyses and information, we support well-founded decisions, make developments and successes visible, and promote the continuous advancement of HSG.
Your tasks
Data management and operational tasks in the area of rankings
- Independent preparation, validation and evaluation of ranking data as well as processing of ranking submissions within the ranking team
- Coordination with data-providing units as well as deadline and quality control
Data- and process-related tasks in the area of accreditations
- Independent preparation of key figures, indicators and evidence for national and international accreditations
- Handling data- and process-related tasks within accreditation reporting, in particular maintenance and preparation of documentation, standards and proofs
Data management, business intelligence & data analysis
- Development and maintenance of dashboards and reports (Power BI)
- Preparation and consolidation of data from heterogeneous sources as well as data modelling and ensuring data quality
- Creation of decision-oriented evaluations and visualisations for quality development tasks
Your profile
Required
- University degree (Master’s): preferably in social sciences, economics, educational sciences, data science, statistics or a comparable field with a focus on empirical or quantitative methods
- Experience in quality assurance and/or accreditation and/or ranking processes in the higher education context (operational process experience)
- Solid BI/data skills: Power BI (data modelling, dashboards), data preparation (SQL, advanced Excel), data quality
- Ability to transform data into target group-appropriate decision bases
- Very good German and good English skills
Advantageous
- Advanced BI knowledge (e.g. Power Query, Python or R)
- Experience with higher education or educational data (ranking, survey, publication data)
- Experience in the higher education environment
