It offers school, residential care, and therapy for children and young people aged 4 to 20 years in Fehraltorf.

The WG E is a structured living group embedded within Ilgenhalde for six children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or increased need for structure as well as challenging behaviour.

Our children and young people require particularly clear, reliable, and individually tailored support. We combine consistent structuring of daily life with a respectful and resource-oriented approach. By arrangement, we are looking for a team player as

Residential Specialist for Structured Living Group 50-90%

Your tasks include:

Supplementing and actively working in a committed team of the structured living group with six children and young people
Individual support of the children and young people, if necessary in a 1:1 setting
Designing a structured, reliable, and varied daily routine
Supporting and assisting the children and young people in dealing with their individual sensory and processing characteristics within the autism spectrum
Building and maintaining sustainable relationships taking into account individual needs and boundaries
Promoting independence, self-efficacy, and participation in everyday life
Recognising and assessing challenging behaviour and developing appropriate educational and de-escalation strategies
Implementing spatial, temporal, and content structuring
Close collaboration with the team, school, specialist agencies, and other involved persons
Joint development of a consistent and professional educational approach

Your profile:

Qualification as a social pedagogue HF/FH, psychiatric nursing specialist HF, or care specialist EFZ specialising in disability care
Ideally professional experience in supporting people on the autism spectrum and/or with challenging behaviour
Enjoyment in working with children and young people and in individually shaping their daily lives
High powers of observation and the ability to perceive and reflect on behaviour in a differentiated manner
Interest in structured yet individually adaptable educational work
High resilience, reliability, and a balanced personality
Willingness to engage in demanding situations and to seek solutions together as a team
Enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration and professional development
