Operator (Shift Work)

About the job

As an operator, you will work in a 3-shift rotation including weekends and public holidays at our site in Basel. You can expect a dedicated team and a varied as well as challenging field of activity.

 Tasks 

• Operation and monitoring of the systems from the process computer and on site (wastewater treatment and sludge incineration)
• Supervision of all mechanical and electrical equipment
• Independent execution of specialised tasks
• Identifying preventive maintenance and necessary repairs
• Independent interpretation of alarm messages and initiation of appropriate measures
• Rectification and written reporting of unsafe conditions
• Participation in optimisation tasks
• Careful handover of the workplace during shift changes

 For this position we expect:

 Your profile 

• Completed vocational training in a technical profession, in a chemical company or in a sewage treatment plant
• User knowledge in electronics, automation and mechanics
• Very good German language skills, spoken and written
• Strong sense of responsibility and high commitment
• Willingness to work in a continuous 3-shift model 
• Willingness to complete training for sewage treatment specialists (VSA: Association of Swiss Wastewater and Water Protection Specialists)
