Regent Lighting, based in Basel, employs around 600 staff across six countries, is the market leader in Switzerland and one of the leading lighting manufacturers in Europe. Our products are distributed internationally in 35 countries through distribution partners.

Our Finance and Accounting department is the backbone of our company and ensures that everything related to numbers runs smoothly at all times. We are looking for a proactive support who not only takes responsibility but also actively shapes the further development of the finance sector.

Accounting Specialist (m/f)

Your tasks

• You assist in the preparation of the monthly and annual financial statements of the parent company
• You independently manage the accounting of individual subsidiaries and prepare their monthly and annual financial statements
• You ensure the correct handling of VAT according to Swiss and EU regulations
• You contribute to liquidity planning
• You are the central contact person for customer advisors and clerks of the companies you support
• You participate in projects and actively contribute to the continuous development of the finance sector

Your profile

• You have a federal diploma in finance and accounting or a comparable qualification as well as several years of professional experience
• You bring sound knowledge in consolidated financial statement preparation according to Swiss GAAP FER, ideally in an international environment
• You are confident in using Microsoft Dynamics 365 and other ERP systems and have very good user skills in Microsoft Excel
• You have experience in VAT accounting in Switzerland, ideally also in Germany and Austria
• You communicate confidently in German and English, both spoken and written; knowledge of French is an advantage
• You work in a structured, careful and independent manner, set clear priorities and convince through a solution-oriented working style, initiative and resilience
